Royal Bay Electrical Power Facility
A power station that provides electricity to the greater Royal Bay Metropolitan area
Surrounded entirely by tall, barbwire-wrapped chain link fence, the Royal Bay Electrical Power Facility sits all by its lonesome past the eastern borders of Royal Bay, along the marshes that populate the riverlands there. The building itself is tall, wide, and boringly geometrical, built from light and dark grey concrete. Tall smokestacks stand tall on the taller section of the building’s roof, and a forest of transformers and electrical structures spreads over the grounds.
Built in September 1953, the power station has served Royal Bay and the surrounding area for almost 50 years.
